What are you entering in X83?
X83 is an invitation to tender in GAEB DA XML; X84 is an offer return, as the official GAEB FAQ explains. In the standalone web editor, you add prices for a readable PDF. A supported and fully checked state can also produce the matching X84 offer file.
The source supplies items, descriptions, quantities and units. You enter net unit prices. A displayed amount is meaningful only when the price refers to the specified unit.
Example: 75 square metres of paving at €78.60
For a quantity of 75 m² and a net unit price of €78.60/m², the net line total is €5,895.00.
| Field | Correct value | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Tender quantity | 75 m² | From the imported source |
| Net unit price | €78.60/m² | Price for one square metre |
| Net line total | €5,895.00 | 75 × 78.60 |
Do not enter €5,895.00 as the unit price: the quantity would be multiplied again. Metres, square metres, pieces and lump sums are not interchangeable. This is a calculation example, not a market-price recommendation.
Read the description before pricing
“Lay paving” does not establish whether supply, sub-base, cuts or disposal are included. Read the long text and section notes. A low material purchase price is not necessarily the complete selling price of the specified work.
Compare supplier quotations on the same scope first. The supplier comparison guide covers quantities, manufacturers and additional charges in the app workflow.
Check the saved number
After saving, review the displayed price and recalculated total. A rejected value has not been saved simply because you typed it. Correct the named field and pay attention to rounding for small units or prices with several decimal places.
An unknown price stays open. Explicit zero is a price, not a placeholder for missing calculation. Read missing prices and zero prices before sharing a partial state.
Output and submission are separate
Next add the company details and required logo. Review the summary and billing address; checkout shows the PDF unlocking information before an order. Prices in the same unlocked document can be revised later.
Check the PDF before passing it on. If a structured offer return is needed, review the GAEB workflow and the recipient's requirements.
